Two years ago we started selling natural stone; most of our products are unique to this area and can't be found at other yards selling stone. ALL of our rock is natural and the colors you see are the result of the minerals contained in them. They say seeing is believing... drop by for a look and let your imagination run wild. HILLSIDE STONE & GARDEN began at the same Trans Canada Highway location in Spring, 2002. That's when we found Al, thank goodness. Al has been with us ever since, and has helped to make HILLSIDE STONE & GARDEN the friendly and helpful place to start your yard or garden project.

HILLSIDE EXCAVATING LTD./HILLSIDE STONE & GARDEN was incorporated in 1981. We started with a Case Track Loader, Single Axle Dump Truck and a faithful German Shepherd. Throw in a bookeeper and an equipment operator, and heh, you've got yourself a small Cowichan Valley business.

HILLSIDE EXCAVATING AND HILLSIDE STONE & GARDEN are active in the community. We support many local charities, including United Way, Spinal Cord Society, Cowichan District Hospital Foundation, School District 79 PAC's, Kidney Foundation, and the Cowichan Sportsplex.
